David Norris has been a professional sculptor since the early 1960s, having studied sculpture at the Royal Academy Schools, London as well as at Guildford School of Art where he was taught by Michael Rizzello. He was an award-winner at an early stage of his career, winning the Royal Academy's portraiture medal and the Landseer prize for composition.
His work spans figurative and abstract subjects, with the human figure and birds featuring prominently in many of his compositions. He has a special skill in architectural and landscape bronzes and stainless steel, although his work ranges widely in scale from large to small, and in many different media.
David is a Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.
