Using sustainable, home grown timber and acrylic, Sarah Thirlwell produces vases, vessels and interior products that play on juxtapositions of synthetic and natural, light and opaque.  She takes the age old craft of woodturning and drives it into the twenty-first centruy with stunning results. 

Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and has been exhibited at shows in Britain and abroad.  In 2002 she was shortlisted for the Evening Standard Interior Product Award and last year won Grand Designs Best in Show at Origin.
