Ruth is a highly skilled printmaker specialising in screen printing and etching. She is interested in the relationship between the colour and shape, one which creates a response. Her compositions come from all manner of sources, from pebbles found on a beach, to 1970s wallpaper. Her bold screen prints have have a scandinavian feel to them where her etchings show a delicate subtlety

Her work is intentionally domestic. It is there to complement an interior, and to work with the colours and forms which are common to modern homes. She finds it inspiring to see paintings as part of a room, and to see the way they can change the whole mood and character of a living space.
