Since completing her fine art degree at De Montfort University, Leicester in 2000, Norah has worked constantly. She has exhibited at various venues across the country, including the OXO Tower in London and her work is held in private collections worldwide.
Her striking landscapes evolve from immense panoramic skies recalled from her childhood. Without visible or specific imagery from which to work she develops an abstract memory of what she saw then for a fleeting second, the serenity and stillness of a summer day, rolling constant clouds and the infinity of the landscape fading in the distance. The paintings have a dramatic sense of energy and movement encapsulating mood, emotion and elation in sweeps of bold colour and texture. She invites the viewer to recognise, interpret and possibly experience emotional exhilaration and to become aware of her personal dialogue with the chosen medium.
